PASADENA, Calif. — What good is a Louis Vuitton quarterback if his handles keep falling off?“It’s a struggle to run the ball,” CU football coach Deion Sanders said after a 28-16 loss to UCLA inside a Rose Bowl with thorns, the Buffs’ fourth defeat in five games. “And we’ve got to figure that out, because now you’re one-dimensional. And it’s easy to stop a team when they’re one-dimensional and that’s who we are at this point in time.”Shedeur Sanders, the coach’s son and the offense’s only hope, needed an injection for the pain at halftime, thanks to a bruising bunch of Bruins and seven sacks allowed. The kid wouldn’t need a shot if he wasn’t taking so dang many of them in the pocket, week after week.Run the darn ball, Coach Prime. PASADENA, Calif. — Jimmy Smith, Chidobe Awuzie, Ahkello Witherspoon… Travis Hunter. How does the fourth belong with the latter three? Hunter, the Buffs’ two-way breakout star playing his first season of Division-I FBS, is on the fast-track to join those other names as a high-drafted cornerback out of CU.Hunter put on another eye-opening defensive performance Saturday in CU’s 28-16 loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl, with two first-half interceptions that helped give the Buffs an early lead. The sophomore snuffed out the Bruins’ first drive of the game by intercepting Ethan Garbers to set CU up for a field goal that made it 6-0. On the 3rd-and-5 play, Hunter was in man, press coverage on Kam Brown at the line of scrimmage, but after jamming Brown, Hunter intuitively jumped off him and into space when he recognized Bruins slot receiver Logan Loya was running a short button-hook to the first-down line.Hunter dove and picked off Garbers’ pass, then popped up...4 children found with 'lacerations' at Lancaster home; 2 dead
