By David Bauer | Associated PressNEW YORK — Fired Fox news host Tucker Carlson said Tuesday that he will be putting out a “new version” of his program on Twitter.Carlson made his announcement in a three-minute video posted on the social media site, as part of a denunciation of media. He called Twitter that last big remaining platform that allows free speech.“We’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter,” he said. “We’ll bring some other things, too, which we’ll tell you about. But for now we’re just grateful to be here.”He offered no other details, and a message to his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, was not immediately returned. It’s unclear what these plans mean for his remaining contract with Fox; typically television companies include a no-compete clause when someone leaves the air. A Fox spokeswoman didn’t immediately return a call for comment.Axios ...Tucker Carlson drops teaser for new 'show' on Twitter

Ukiah woman concealed her mother’s death, hid her skeletal remains to access her finances: police After a nearly three-minute video during which he lambasted the news media he admittedly spent 30 years working in, Carlson, who inexplicably refers to himself as "we" throughout the video, singles out Twitter as "the last big" remaining platform that allows free speech."Twitter has long served as the place where our national conversation incubates and develops," Carlson said. "Twitter is not a partisan site. Everybody is allowed here and we think that's a good thing.""Starting soon we'll be bringing a new version of the show we've been doing for the last six and a...Democrats says they see room to ‘come together’ on spending cuts, but won’t allow GOP to take debt limit ‘hostage’

Security cameras are just about everywhere in D.C., except post offices. After a woman was shot Monday at a post office in Brentwood, a D.C. lawmaker wants to make them safer.D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is introducing legislation that will fund installing security cameras at every post office in the U.S.After a D.C. resident was robbed at a post office last year, Norton said she floated the idea with the Postal Service and found that the budget for the project made it unlikely.“The parking lot was not monitored by a security camera. USPS responded that it was not financially feasible to install and maintain security cameras at every postal facility. This bill authorizes appropriations for security cameras at postal facilities,” Norton said in a statement. This comes a day after police arrested postal worker Davida Johnson, 25, of Southeast D.C., for allegedly shooting a woman during a verbal altercation at the post office on Brentwood Road NE.She is facing charges of assaul...Pixelworks: Q1 Earnings Snapshot

A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that the Environmental Protection Agency must regulate perchlorate, reversing a Trump-era rollback on a drinking water contaminant linked to brain damage in infants.A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled unanimously in an appeal brought by the Natural Resources Defense Council last year after the EPA, under the Biden administration, stood by the rollback. Two judges wrote that the EPA had no authority to withdraw from a 2011 determination that perchlorate should be regulated.Circuit Judge Florence Pan, in a concurring opinion, went further. She called the EPA’s decision not to regulate perchlorate “arbitrary” and “capricious” and rejected the agency’s assertion that perchlorate was occurring at lower levels than previously thought. That assertion relied on a ”biased dataset that was selectively updated,” wrote Pan, who was appointed by President Joe Biden last year. The EP...Nektar: Q1 Earnings Snapshot
