Man killed in crash along Highway 1 near San Gregorio

A man died Thursday afternoon after the SUV he was driving crashed and hit a tree along Highway 1 near Stage Road, just north of San Gregorio.The man was driving north in a GMC Yukon shortly after 2 p.m. when the SUV appeared to hit a bicyclist who was in the right shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol. The GMC then went into oncoming traffic, hitting a Chevrolet Silverado before crashing into a tree, rolling over and coming to a stop halfway in an embankment.
