In San Jose the United Veterans Council of Santa Clara County held the city’s annual Veterans Day Parade. FREMONT — Faced with a decision to either accept an armed intruder’s challenge to a fight or flee, a city resident jumped from the second story balcony of his Walnut Avenue apartment and darted off, while the assailant chased behind him, occasionally firing the weapon, according to Fremont police.A few minutes later, the victim somehow disarmed his assailant and placed him in a chokehold, knocking him unconscious, until police arrived.Now, 43-year-old Jason Kamae, of Tracy, has been charged with attempted murder, residential burglary and illegal gun possession by a felon in relation to the harrowing Oct. 16 incident. (KRON) -- Authorities are looking for two suspects who stole a wallet from an elderly woman at a Safeway, the Gilroy Police Department said on social media. The alleged theft happened Thursday when the suspects stole the victim's wallet from her shopping cart. Police said the male suspect (pictured on bottom right) distracted the woman by having a conversation with her. The female suspect (bottom left) then allegedly walked to the victim's shopping cart and stole a purse that contained the wallet. Clement completed 16-of-25 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown and added 78 yards rushing, including a 1-yard TD run that made it 38-0 with 4:17 left in the first half.
